Upper Quarter Patrol
The Expansion of the Upper Quarter Patrol, originally known as the Royal Street Patrol, is a program of the French Quarter Management District (FQMD) that is operated, and made possible, through a Security Services Agreement between FQMD and Public Safety Services Corporation. This is a detail of off-duty POST Certified law enforcement officers from various agencies to perform pro-active foot patrols coupled with vehicles utilizing emergency lights within the patrol zone area. These patrols enhance police presence and help promote a greater sense of public safety.
