The French Quarter Management District (FQMD) is invested in improving the quality of life for all residents, including those that are unhoused in the neighborhood. In 2021 the FQMD teamed up with the French Market Corporation and funded a Needs Assessment of Street Homelessness in the French Quarter. Through the French Quarter Economic Development District (FQEDD), the FQMD has supported street outreach by funding three Travelers Aid Society of Greater New Orleans (TASGNO) full time case managers and their transportation as well as Covenant House outreach and the Rapid Rehousing Program.
