SafeCam NOLA + Real-Time Crime Center
The French Quarter Management District (FQMD) is proud to support the SafeCam NOLA program and promote direct camera integration with the New Orleans Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC). FQMD uses camera integration and mapping to:
- Support French Quarter Patrols (NOPD and Sheriff’s Office)
- Identify security blind spots and advocate for lighting/camera upgrades
- Help NOPD monitor Bourbon Street, alleys and event zones in real time
- Coordinate with City agencies on infrastructure and crime prevention
What is SafeCam?
SafeCam is a voluntary registration program that allows NOPD to know where private cameras are located—no live access required. When your camera connects in real time, it becomes more than a deterrent—it becomes a powerful, proactive tool in public safety. If a crime happens near your property, police may contact you to ask for recorded footage.

SafeCam Platinum: live-linked cameras, real-time protection
SafeCam Platinum allows eligible property owners to stream their security cameras directly to the RTCC, where NOPD officers monitor activity 24/7.
These cameras help:
- Monitor Bourbon Street, Canal Street, and major corridors in real time
- Improve response speed and situational awareness
- Deter crime through visible surveillance coverage
- Support major events, emergencies, and crowd control
