Recycling Services
In partnership with Glass Half Full, French Quarter Management District offers residents and visitors may drop off glass (in addition to aluminum, paper/cardboard, and plastics #1 and #2) weighing no more than 100 lbs. at the following locations:
- TUESDAYS
11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
New Orleans Jazz Museum (400 Esplanade Ave.) - THURSDAYS
11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Cabrini Park (1219 Dauphine Street) - SUNDAYS

Glass recycling for businesses
Businesses seeking to recycle glass may contract Glass Half Full directly. Glass Half Full recycles glass “waste” into sand and gravel for disaster relief, coastal restoration and eco construction.
Keep Louisiana Beautiful Grant Recipient (2025–2026)
The French Quarter Management District’s Keep the Quarter Clean recycling initiatives are supported in part by the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Healthy Communities Grant Program. Through this support, FQMD has expanded public recycling access and launched targeted efforts, including commercial glass recycling and Mardi Gras bead diversion, in partnership with Glass Half Full.
Through support from Keep Louisiana Beautiful, FQMD has expanded public recycling infrastructure and launched targeted initiatives in partnership with Glass Half Full, including:
- Collection of over 20,000 pounds of glass through public drop-off sites
- Mardi Gras bead recycling capturing 44,000+ beads across 19 hotels
- “Raise the Bar” pilot diverting 5,953 pounds of glass (≈12,000 bottles) from local bars
These efforts reduce litter, divert waste from landfills, and support a more sustainable French Quarter for over 8,000 residents, employees, and visitors.
