It has come to our attention that several of our partners experienced an issue in the receipt of the two (2) Requests for Proposal (RFPs) related to the FQMD North Rampart Pedestrian Safety Initiative. It is our goal to ensure a fair and competitive RFP bidding process and as a result, we are extending the timeline for bid submission to March 22, 2024. We have attached UPDATED versions of the RFP documents and note the following for your review:
– Document titles specify which of the two opportunities are represented: Bollards & MMA Paint vs. Flashing Beacons
– Footers have been updated to also reflect the RFP title
– RFP timeline has been updated to reflect our two week extension
– The LOUISIANA UNIFORM PUBLIC WORK BID FORM has been pre-populated to assist in both the completeness of your reply and in your pricing proposal
As a reminder, we request that you submit your bid(s) in response to the RFPs to include a response to each section in the document, as well as your updated LOUISIANA UNIFORM PUBLIC WORK BID FORM. Thank you for participating in this important public safety initiative.
Contractor Services RFP Respondent Questions
- Regarding the replacement of pavement striping as required, what is the size of the striping line- 4″, 6″, or 8″, and what is the total footage of striping needed?
Thermoplastic won’t be required, with the exception of the bike lane symbols that will be installed on top of the green. Mainly the thermoplastic will be utilized on an “as needed” basis, and all finished MMA treatments are to be bordered by thermoplastic where they are not already. The plan is to not replace the existing work, but to “fill in the lines” where necessary.
